Update Alpha 0.23


The "Cathedral" Update:

Added:

  • A new Cathedral
  • A new creature can appear in the Crypt

Changed:

  • Massively reduced load times
  • Made several runtime optimisations
  • Player spawns in different locations of the Cathedral based on if they escape or die
  • Default key for rotating items in the inventory has been changed to right click
  • Item slots now fade in the player inventory
  • Background now blurs when in menus
  • Most sounds now become muffled when behind walls
  • Water drops now make different sounds based on the surface hit
  • Increased volume of water drops
  • Increased turning speed for a certain creature
  • Decreased size of a certain creature
  • Wisps now implode when their purpose is served
  • Improved wisp visual effects
  • Improved estimated item values
  • Improved materials for many objects found around the Crypt
  • Improved lever SFX
  • Improved objective text in Cathedral

  • Fixed some creature navigation issues
  • Fixed a certain creature being able to kill the player through walls
  • Fixed creatures suddenly snapping to new rotations when moving onto and off of slopes
  • Fixed creatures not detecting player vision properly
  • Fixed wisps sometimes not reaching their target
  • Fixed wisps trying to "duck" under their target
  • Fixed items spawning in view of the player when generated near the player's spawn position
  • Fixed alters inconsistently spawning items
  • Fixed some items spawning on top of other items
  • Fixed items being dropped through walls and objects
  • Fixed inventory sprites appearing in the corner of the screen for a frame
  • Fixed estimated item values becoming 0 when exceeding 5000
  • Fixed Artefact values being incorrectly calculated on lower floors
  • Fixed Artefact interaction text being inconsistently sized
  • Fixed the bleeding sound playing even when the player's health had recovered
  • Fixed some mushrooms spawning mid-air
  • Fixed a door in one of the puzzle rooms opening when the puzzle is incomplete
  • Fixed strange collisions with certain objects which prevented player interaction
  • Fixed player being able to crush themselves by walking into a sloped roof
  • Fixed visuals for various objects
  • Fixed borderless windowed mode sometimes having unintentional letterboxing
  • Fixed mouse sensitivity setting not working
